All levels welcome!

I teach Mah Jongg online, as well as in person, at every level, from beginner to advanced. Below, you can find information about each level and when I’ll be teaching courses online.

Beginner Course

Description: You may recognize the tiles but you do not know the operations of the game. Operations are: Building walls; Dealing; the Charleston; Courtesy exchange; Pick, Rack, and discard moves; calling a tile and exposing a multiple; calling Mah Jongg.

5 sessions, $150 total

Advanced Beginner Course

Description - You have been playing less than one year and know the operations of the game.

Operations are: Building walls; Dealing; the Charleston; Courtesy exchange; Pick, Rack, and discard moves; calling a tile and exposing a multiple; calling Mah Jongg.

3 sessions, for $90 total

Strategies for

Intermediate Players

Intermediate -You play regularly but need to learn the strategy for choosing a hand. You need to learn offensive strategies.

Advanced - You play regularly for several years, and want to learn defensive strategies.

Review of 2025 National Mah Jongg League Card

1 session (2 hours) for $40

The NMJL puts out a new version of their card every year, the first week in April. I teach a 2-hour session each year about the new card. You’ll learn facts, patterns, and strategies for winning and enjoying the game more.
